Roll of The Wreck

This game was made using pygame in 48 hours for the GMTK Game Jam.

Roll of the Wreck is a short survival game in which you are placed on a ship and must survive for one minute until you get to shore. Your ship has been put under a terrible curse, causing a dice to be rolled every 5 seconds that decides your fate.

Controls:

A - Left

D - Right

SPACE - Jump

LSHIFT - Repair (Hold over broken pieces of ship for 0.5 seconds to repair them. If held for 1 full second while on lookout, the sail will repair)

W - Climb onto lookout (can only do when indicator is blue)

S - Climb down from lookout (can only do when indicator is blue)

Hazard Descriptions:

Lightning: Up to three lightning bolts strike your ship. Touching them, or the fires they leave behind, will instantly kill you.

Tsunami: A tsunami hits your ship, and damages up to three pieces of it. You must repair each piece by holding LSHIFT down for 0.5 seconds while above the broken piece. When a tsunami hits, a short timer is displayed on the top right. If the timer runs out before you fix all the damaged pieces of your ship, your ship sinks and you lose.

Seagull Attack: A flock of seagulls attacks your ship and breaks the sail, causing you to go in the wrong direction. For every second that the sail is broken, your ship will need one extra second to get back to shore.

Double Lightning: Up to six lightning bolts strike your ship.

Strong Tsunami: A more deadly tsunami hits, and up to 6 pieces of the ship become damaged.

Wind Gust: A lucky gust of wind blows on your ship, reducing the time until you make it back to shore.
